Today's 134th Preakness pits The Kentucky Derby winner, Mine That Bird:
against the Kentucky Oaks superstar, Rachel Alexandra:
The jockey that rode them both to victory two weeks ago, Calvin Borel, has opted to ride Rachel in the Preakness, leaving seasoned jockey Mike Smith to ride Bird.
Should be a fantastic race, with the deepest Preakness field in many years.
Several Derby runners, including the second and third place finishers (Pioneerof The Nile and Musket Man, respectively) are tackling the race in Baltimore.
Can't wait to see who pulls this one off! Will it be another longshot?
I have my tickets.... but I'm not telling who I picked just yet.
